About

I strive to understand people to create meaningful and useful experiences.

Hi, I'm Julie, a multidisciplinary designer focused on UX. I'm creative, data-driven, and curious, and I work to understand people: their needs, aspirations, and desires. I design products in both the physical and digital space that make the world more convenient, safe, and delightful.

My background spans design research, product design, prototyping, data visualization, and UI design across healthcare, smart home, and advertising platforms.

Studying both psychology and industrial design gave me a deep understanding of human-centered needs from physical and cognitive perspectives. I hold a BFA in Industrial Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a BA in Psychology and Fine Art from Emmanuel College.

Most recently I was a product designer at Meta, where I focused on delivering insights to advertisers through the Meta Ads platform. I'm open to new opportunities, full-time or contract, so if you think we'd make a good team, I'd love to hear from you.

Away from the screen, I'm usually outside: hiking, exploring Maine's rocky coast, heading to the beach in any season, or backyard birding.
